About Me

Hi, I'm Makayla!

I’m a Sweden-based UX/UI Designer from California focused on creating unique and joyful experiences that matter. 

Exploring the depth of human behavior and understanding personal motivations has always fascinated me. So, I put that passion into practice with a research master’s degree in Psychology; this is where I honed my analytical and problem-solving mindset. 

From there, I have expanded my initial enthusiasm and found a way to combine my creative side with my love for science and human behavior. Today, my work expands multiple domains: branding, UX design, UX research, UI design, data visualization, and balancing business goals with user needs to name a few. 

I believe that good design comes from data-driven insights and continuous learning. Whether those be hard- or soft skills, I am always looking for ways to improve.

When I’m not designing, you can find me doing hot yoga, learning Swedish, petting dogs, and traveling the world (fun fact: I’ve lived in 3 countries and been to 32 and counting)!
